Troubleshooting

Check this guide for help solving issues with the Time Slot WordPress booking plugin

Booking Form

If the select dropdowns on your booking form are showing no results found, there may be a translation or time format issue. Here are a few things you can try:

  • Check the WordPress updates page for new available translations, and click the update translations button, if available. View the translations guide for more information.
  • On the WordPress general settings page, check that your timezone is set to a city name and that the time format works with Time Slot. View the getting started guide for a timezone example and accepted time formats.
  • If you configured your Time Slot settings before changing the time format, check that your business hours are in the new format. If not, enter the hours in the new time format and save the settings again.
  • If you configured your Time Slot settings before updating translations, check that status and visibility match the new site language on the staff, services, coupons and appointments pages.

Performance Optimization & Caching

If you notice console errors, missing features (such as custom fields), or scripts not loading correctly in the admin or booking form, the issue may be related to caching, script optimization, or minification settings in your theme or a performance plugin.

Some themes and caching plugins combine, defer, or move JavaScript files to improve performance. In certain cases, this can prevent required scripts from loading in the correct order or location. Here are a few important things to try:

Temporarily disable JavaScript optimization features such as:

  • Moving jQuery to the footer
  • Deferring or delaying JavaScript
  • Combining or minifying JS and CSS files
  • Dynamically loading script components

Clear all applicable caches after making changes:

  • Theme cache
  • Caching plugin cache
  • Server-level cache
  • Browser cache (CTRL + SHIFT + DELETE)

If you recently upgraded from Time Slot to Time Slot Pro, ensure that:

  • All plugin files are updated correctly
  • Old cached files from the previous version are cleared
  • Only one version (free or Pro) is active at a time

After each change, clear all caches again and re-test. If the issue is resolved, you can re-enable optimization settings one at a time to identify the specific conflict.

Page Builders

Page builder plugins and themes require a lot of memory on their own, and need more when you use additional plugins. You may need to increase your PHP memory limit if you are experiencing issues. This is something you can do on your own if you have access to your server, or you may need to contact your host

Here are the memory requirements of some common WordPress page builders:
